I have been environmentally responsible for as long as I can remember. I began studying and dabbling in science when I was 7 or 8 years old. I excelled at science in school, earned a science degree and have dedicated much of my adult life to cleaning water, minimizing waste and reusing natural resources. I support anything that is good for our planet.
My issue with the entire Green movement is that much of what we think is Green, and much of what we think is good science, is actually bullschnitzle that has nothing to do with science and everything to do with political agenda and the money influence of lobbyists. Until government and the media allow full debate on these issues, we are headed down the same path to polluting the Earth that we have been on for the past 50 years. Follow me with a few examples.
- Solar energy requires mega tons of copper, lead, cadmium, lithium, and other metals. Metals that are growing scarce and have to be mined with oil burning machines, going deeper into the Earth, destroying land and polluting water. How is this Green?
- Wind Energy reduces the winds, which reduce reforestation. Less trees means less cooling, more CO2 and more global warming. Wind technology also requires mega tons of copper, lead, cadmium, lithium, and other metals. Metals that are growing scarce and have to be mined with oil burning machines going deeper into the Earth, destroying land and polluting water. How Is This Green?
- Electric Cars are powered by electricity generated by fossil fuels. Because this is a 2 step transfer of energy, the effective miles per unit of energy produced can never equal the efficiency of a gas/diesel powered car. In other words, fossil fuel generators make electricity for storage units. There is heat loss, energy loss and CO2 production in that proces. Then, in the transfer of that already inefficient energy, there is more energy lost to heat and converting the power to the proper current. An electric car uses more fossil fuel than a fossil fuel vehicle. How Is This Green?
- People who believe in Anthropogenic Climate Change (ACC) believe that an increase in CO2 is responsible for the temperature of the planet rising.
Here is the problem. Science, Engineering, and Medical journals document that an increase in CO2 also increases our heart rate, makes breathing more difficult, reduces our athletic performance, depletes combustion engines of horsepower and efficiency, and extinguishes fires. There is not one scientist who can explain how CO2 can be affecting the climate and oceans, but mysteriously avoiding all the other known effects of CO2 from 200 years of academic and medical documentation. How Is This Green?
Here is the problem facing mankind today. For my purposes, I have made my stake in life, I don’t have to work if I don’t want to. God has truly blessed me. Unfortunately, if you are in the prime of your adult life, say 18 – 40, your world, your economic reality, your freedom and quality of life are going to be dependent on the leaders of today getting it right.
I am here to tell you, science demands that all voices be heard, for without the critic and the doubter, the science that gets to you and your loved ones will never be true. It will be tainted by government, lobbyists and money. When the media and companies like Google, Facebook and Twitter can select the scientific opinions that they choose, while squashing the ones they don’t want? I promise you, you will not have the wonderful golden years that my generation, the Boomers enjoy.
You Gen Z kids have a golden opportunity right in front of you to bring this entire corruption of science to its knees. I see social media influencers with 35 million followers and think to myself? Do you realize that CNN only gets 412,000 views daily?
